I can not believe that you would write an article telling people how to “get fired and still get umemployment!” and lay out ways to make a business owner’s life difficult – more difficult than it already is!

Business owners provide employment. Employees benefit from this. If an employee doesn’t like his or her job, they should ethically look for a new job they would like better and then go work elsewhere.

I could go on and on about how unethical and sneaky this article is but the bottom line is, business owners are just like anyone else. Taking advantage of them just because they own a company is not something that should be encouraged. That is like encouraging someone to steal – to be paid for working slow, doing a poor job, etc as you suggest. What kind of person would write an article like this?????????????

…..ya know…..if after you have really decided to do “the dirty deed”, just keep it in your head that it’s a gamble, a crap shoot…..it may or not happen. This will REALLY help throw off the overconfidence or nervousness you may have. Peace.

Very good. I never thought that it might come down for me actually wanting to get laid off. I’ll explain – after losing my job at the beginning of the recession I got hired, through a friend of mine, as an “intern” – with reduced pay and benefits but with an understanding that I will get taught new skills along the way and eventually go full-time. Lo and behold, months go by and I’m still stuck at doing what none of their “real” employees want to do, with no training or benefits increase anywhere in sight.

That list of things to do is what everyone does. Doing everything on the list would not be distinguishing except perhaps the part about having lots of personal problems. That one might get too much sympathy and make you the last one to be fired. This article is for amateurs.
