• Adult men 10.1 percent
• Adult women 7.7 percent
• Teenagers 25.1 percent

• White 8.8 percent
• Black or African American 15.0 percent
• Latino ethnicity or Hispanic 12.7 percent

As you can see, black Americans are almost twice as likely to be out of work as white Americans.

According to the New York Times, a college degree doesn’t always help when it comes to race. “The unemployment rate for black male college graduates 25 and older in 2009 has been nearly twice that of white male college graduates — 8.4 percent compared with 4.4 percent.”

I am skilled in a number of areas in design and technology. However I am never hired. EVER. This was before the economic crash. I am treated the absolute worse in this land. Since 2005 I have not received not one reply, rejection or anything from any job I have applied for in this country. The discrimination against black males is absolute, yet nobody talks about it. I hate America. I hate every aspect of it. I hate americans with a passion. I hate this country with every fiber of my being. When you talk about freedom and democracy I just laugh. When you talk about equality I just laugh. Black males are hated more than anyone else in this place. We are invisible and treated with contempt by everyone. I do not have a criminal record nor do I prescribe to a lifestyle of crime or chaos. In fact because of that it seems that I am treated worse. I am working as hard as I can to immigrate out of this country. I have also been looking into renouncing my citizenship from the usa. I have 0 future here and have experienced a better quality of life in some other places where the people are civilized enough to at the very least respect a persons intellectual and creative contributions. I will Never support the usa in anything ever. I and do hope that one day this place is made to pay in full for all of the racist hate and discrimination it has oppressed onto the lives of millions of black men. Fuck America! Opportunities for White women and men only.

I ALSO NOTICED THAT I WAS MAKING 2-3 DOLLARS LESS THAN SOME KIDS WITH NO EXPERIENCE OR JUST A H.S.D. , I AM MORE THAN QUALIFIED FOR A NUMBER OF POSITIONS I HAVE RECENTLY APPLIED AND INTERVIEWED FOR AND YET AM STILL UNEMPLOYED. I WOULD SAY YES SIZE AND AGE MATTER AND DONT EVEN MENTION THE CREDIT SCORES …THIS IS ALL DISCRIMINATION AND SINCE WHEN DID WE MEASURE AN EMPLOYEE BY THEIR CREDIT AND ABILITY TO PURCHASE A HOME OR CAR??? SERIOUSLY, ? DISCRIMINATION IS ILLEGAL AND WE ARE ABOUT TO FIND OUT HOW DEEP THE GOVERNMENT GOES DOWN THIS RABBIT HOLE. HUMM. MAYBE COMPANYS SHOULD START MEASURING THEIR POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES ON THEIR EXPERIENCE AND MERIT DURING AN INTERVIEW NOT ON THEIR WIEGHT OR AGE!!!

shouldn’t the crux of your argument be to end all discrimination? apparently we should feel aghast that overweight people experience more discrimination than ex-mental patients.

What a joke. joke. joke.
