VIDEO: Students Weigh in on Financial Education vs. Sex Education

Young Money recently spent a day at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. We asked many students what they thought is more important: Sex Education or Financial Education? The students interviewed had wide array of responses with some great reasons why both are extremely important. And many realize that it depends on a variety of factors including all demographics and socioeconomic factors. Young Money’s home page poll reported that indeed 75% of people feel Financial Education is more important than Sex Education. What do you think?

Sex ed is more important because you can have sex once, contract HIV, develop AIDS, and die. If you don’t have financial education, you might run up a credit card and be debt, but you won’t do it again, and at least you’ll still have your life :)

Sex ed is important in middle school on up but fin ed the rest of your life!
