Kim Kardashian: Entrepreneur Extraordinaire

In entrepreneur in her own right, Kim Kardashian made $6 million in the last year through her various business ventures.While the reasons for the Kardashian family's fame are currently unknown, the family has undoubtedly leveraged the limelight into its own multimedia mini-empire. The Kardashians, especially sisters Khloe, Kourtney and Kim, are adept businesswomen and this year alone will make $11 million.

The Kardashians understand the importance of having a diversified business portfolio. Kim, the most popular member of the family, made $6 million this year, according to the Daily Beast's ranking of the highest-earning reality television stars. Kim started off making money from paid appearances at night clubs, but now has her own perfume line, founded an online shoe company, stars in her own reality show and co-owns a licensed clothing line with her sisters.

In an interview with respected magazine Cosmopolitan, Kardashian tells the publication: "I am an entrepreneur," declaring that "ambitious is my middle name." Always on the go, Kardashian currently has her hands in multiple pockets and has endorsement deals with various companies that sell everything from weight loss pills to cupcake mix. This year, the three sisters launched their first foray into the literary world with the publication of their book "Kardashian Konfidential," a tongue-in-cheek look into their lives that sold 13,000 copies in its first week alone.

While some may mock Kim and her sisters for their constant presence in celebrity tabloid magazines, the Kardashians are laughing all the way to the bank.
